Precision Investment Casting Services

Investment casting (lost-wax) is a precision process that forms complex shapes in a single step while delivering high accuracy and excellent surface finish. It suits high-mix/low-volume and mid-volume production, shortens downstream machining, and reduces total manufacturing cost.

Multiple materials are available—stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, etc.—to meet demanding applications from automotive components and pump/valve parts to medical and aerospace. This method is especially strong for thin walls, intricate details, and geometries that are difficult to achieve with conventional machining.

Investment Casting Process Flow

Wax pattern making → tree assembly → repeated ceramic-shell coating → dewaxing → high-temperature pouring → shell removal → cutoff & finishing → heat treatment / machining (as required).

Compared with sand casting or die casting, investment casting can deliver better surface quality and dimensional accuracy without costly die-cast tooling, making it advantageous for small- to medium-size parts with complex structures and details such as internal passages, pins, or lettering. It also reduces subsequent turning/milling time, improving yield and consistency (actual tolerances and surface grades depend on size, geometry, and material).
